244 days of education in state government schools, annual calendar of holidays released

Uttarakhand Education Department has released the annual calendar of holidays in the education session 2021-22. Under which 48 days summer and winter holidays will be available in the government schools of the state. At the same time, 244 days will be taught in the hilly area schools and 240 days in the plain area schools.

Uttarakhand Education Department has released the annual calendar of holidays in the education session 2021-22. Under which 48 days summer and winter holidays will be available in the government schools of the state. At the same time, 244 days will be taught in the hilly area schools and 240 days in the plain area schools. According to the calendar released by the Director of Secondary Education RK Kunwar, this time in summer schools, this time will be 35 days summer vacation from May 27 to June 30 and 13 days winter vacation from January 1 to January 13. Winter schools will get 11 days of summer vacation from 20 to 30 June and 37 days of winter vacation from 26 December to 31 January.

These are winter and summer
schools: Schools located at an altitude of five thousand feet or less in the state are classified as summer schools. Whereas the schools located at an altitude of more than five thousand feet are classified as winter schools.
There will be days to study in schools
There will be 244 days of study in winter schools during the education session. While the summer school will open 240 days. Winter schools will be closed for 73 days as a Sunday, Winter Holiday and Summer Holiday. Whereas summer schools will have 77 days off.

These will be public holidays
Makar Sankranti, Guru Govind Singh Jayanti, Republic Day, Vasant Panchami, Ravidas Jayanti, Mahashivratri, Holi, Shab e Barat, Good Friday, Vaishakhi, Ambedkar Jayanti, Ramnavami, Mahavir Jayanti, Jamaat ul Vida, Eid ul Fitr, Buddha Poornima, Harela, Eid ul Juha, Independence Day, Moharram, Rakshabandhan, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Vishwakarma Puja, Anant Chaturdashi, Chehallum, Gandhi Jayanti, Mahanavami, Vijayadashami, Eid ul Milad, Valmiki Jayanti, Deepawali, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Guru Tegh Bahadur Shaheed Day, Christmas.

Demand for the Chief Minister to open a school
The Principal Progressive Schools Association (PPSA) has demanded the Chief Minister to open schools for classes five to 9 and class 11. The association has also sent a letter in this regard to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and education minister Arvind Pandey.

Association President Prem Kashyap said that the letter has demanded from the government that orders should be made to open schools soon for the rest of the classrooms. Now the effect of corona is starting to decrease and the vaccine is about to come. Therefore schools should be opened. In such a situation, if this session becomes zero, then those children will be lagging behind in terms of knowledge.
