In Madhya Pradesh, 3530 teacher posts have gone missing. To get them searched and get teachers appointed to these posts, the Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test pass candidates came to meet School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar and submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. It was informed that provision has been made for the recruitment of teachers on 24200 vacant posts in the Vidhan Sabha, but the Directorate of Public Instruction is starting the recruitment process for only 20670 posts. As many as 3530 teacher posts went missing from the Legislative Assembly to the Directorate of Public Teaching.

The eligibility test was conducted in February-March 2019 for the recruitment of permanent teachers in government schools of the state. Last year, the recruitment process was postponed due to Corona. From 1 April 2021, the verification process for recruitment of Higher Secondary Teacher has been resumed. According to state convenor Ranjit Gaur of the Teacher Eligibility Association, the state government has passed the budget in this session for the recruitment of 24,200 vacant posts in the Vidhan Sabha, but the Directorate General of Public Instruction, totaling 15,000 posts of higher secondary teachers and 5,670 posts of secondary teachers, has a total of 20,670 posts.
