Sikkim PSC (Public Service Commission) invites application for the post of 73 Medical Officer on temporary regular basis.

Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Medical Officer should have Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized university. Candidates should have completed rotatory internship of one year from a recognized institute and registered with medical council of India or Medical council of any state.
Age Limit: The age of the candidates applying for the post of Medical Officer should not less than 21 years and should not more than 30 years.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for the specified categories.
i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST Category
ii) By 4 years for candidates belonging to OBC Category
iii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to BL Category
iv) By 5 years for candidates belonging to PT Category
Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800/ Per Month
Application Fee: Candidates applying for the post of Medical Officer are required to pay application fee Rs 150/- in Bank receipt of State Bank of Sikkim credited by “0051 – SPSC”.
How to apply: Interested and eligible candidates applying for the post of General Duty Medical Officer may apply in prescribed application form along with one stamp size photograph on it one identical stamp size photograph with the applicants name on the backside of the photograph / original bank receipt.

The Sikkim Public Service Commission: The Sikkim Public Service Commission started functioning from 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman and deputation of the staff from the State Government. Since then, the Sikkim Public Service Commission has been entrusted with the work of conducting Union Public Service Commission examinations
Sikkim is a small state in northwest India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal, Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape including India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kanchenjunga. Temperature of the state seldom exceeds 28 °C (82 °F) in summer and the average annual temperature for most of Sikkim is around 18 °C (64 °F). Sikkim is one of the few states in India to receive regular snowfall. Sikkim’s nominal state gross domestic product (GDP) was estimated at US$1.57 billion in 2014, constituting the third-smallest GDP among India’s 28 states.
