A new curriculum for teachers and adult education will also be prepared, instructions given by the Ministry of Education
According to the new National Education Policy, now a new curriculum will not only be prepared for school education, but a new curriculum will also be prepared for the education of teachers and adults. The Ministry of Education has issued necessary instructions in this regard to the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Also said that the existing State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCRET) of all the states have also been asked to direct regarding this.
Instructions given to NCERT and SCERT to prepare curriculum framework
In this regard, the Ministry has asked NCERT and SCERT to prepare new curriculum material related to school education as well as children’s education, teachers’ education and adult education. All states and NCERTs have been asked to prepare a framework team regarding this. Along with this, they have also been given information about what points to keep in mind while preparing it.
Vocational education, environmental education and health related subjects will be given prominence.
These include research and interesting content along with the complete thinking behind education. Along with this, it has also been suggested to include subjects related to vocational education, environmental education and health in a prominent way. At the same time, emphasis has also been laid to include information related to the country and moral values prominently in this new curriculum to be prepared.
The Ministry has taken this initiative when the work of preparing the framework of the curriculum related to school education is going on at a brisk pace. After the introduction of the policy, the PM has set a target of teaching from the new curriculum book in schools from the year 2022. Accordingly, now an initiative has been started to prepare curriculum related to teacher education and adult education.
