Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education review meeting, instructions given to officials

A departmental review meeting was concluded through video conferencing with Divisional Joint Education Director, Divisional Deputy Education Director and District School Inspectors at Yojana Bhavan here today under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Smt. Aradhana Shukla.

 Additional Chief Secretary in the meeting received from the departmental officers the status of non-boundary state schools, state schools operated before 50 years and their buildings, number of regular inspections conducted in the last 3 years and compliance of their inspection numbers, non-governmental assistance. Information received from the Secondary Education Selection Board in secondary schools about the status of verification of educational certificates of selected candidates and updated status of salary payments.

The Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education directed the departmental officers in the meeting to provide a list of such government schools where there are no boundary walls and provide a list of them and the school should be made grand by strengthening the boundary walls of such schools. He instructed that a surprise inspection of the schools should be done to ensure the condition of operation of computers installed in the school, toilets, drinking water and sanitation etc. He also directed to make available the list of dilapidated buildings of the Government Secondary School with photographs.

Smt. Shukla directed that the process of verification of educational and other certificates of the candidates selected from the Secondary Education Services Selection Board in non-government aided secondary schools should be taken up soon. On this occasion, after getting information about the hostels of state secondary schools in the state, he directed that action should be taken to strengthen the hostels whose condition is not right.

Special Secretary, Secondary Education Mrs. Arya Akhauri, Mr. Udaybhan Tripathi and Mr. Jai Shankar Dubey, Director, Secondary Education Mr. Vinay Kumar Pandey, Additional Director of Secondary Education Mrs. Manju Sharma, State Project Director Secondary Education Campaign Mr. Vishnukant Pandey, Deputy Director Secondary Education departmental Vivek Nautiyal and Vikas Shrivastava and other departmental officers were present.
