Anatomy students will study human organs through virtual dissection

Soon all government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh will no longer require dead bodies for the study of human organs. During the studies of anatomy in these colleges, students are going to get virtual machines for dissection. The Medical Education Department had sought consent for this in January 2021 from the Heads of Anatomy Departments of all 13 government medical colleges, which was sent immediately. The cost of one machine is about three crore rupees. According to Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, the machines will be made available to the medical colleges soon.

Due to the first and second wave of Corona, 180 students of GR Medical College are studying online. The theory is fine, but the difficulty is coming in practical. Especially students of anatomy are finding it difficult to study the parts of the human body. Keeping this in mind, Virtual Dissection Machine is being made available in medical colleges.

Before the second wave of Corona, a batch of 180 students came to GR Medical College. His studies had just started and started giving information about human organs to a group of 20-20 children for dissection in anatomy. Then four children got hit by Corona. Due to this classes had to be stopped.

Advantages of Virtual Machine:

The complete information of the human organ is uploaded on the virtual machine.

The virtual machine can be mounted on the table or on the wall.

In the hall, many children can sit together and learn about human organs on the virtual machine.

Human organs can be studied closely.

Online and offline education can be done.

Theory and Practical Classes Online: For theory studies, groups of 15-15 children are being made subject-wise, but there is a problem in conducting practicals online. Most of the trouble has to be faced during the dissection regarding human organs

The way out: In anatomy, teaching students about human organs online by placing a camera on the dissection table. The problem with this is that children do not understand if the human organs are not visible properly in the camera. The human organs during the dissection are then made and sent online. In this, the questions arising in the mind of the students are not answered in time.
