The process of admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas has started. The process of application for admission to Class I in the academic session 2021-22 is to begin tomorrow, April 1, 2021 at 10 am. Interested parents or guardians who wish to register for admission to their child or ward will be able to apply by 19 April. For the application, the parents have to visit the admission portal of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Earlier, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Union Ministry of Education released the schedule for admission. Registrations for Class 2 and other classes (except 11th) will start from 8 April.

Parents should note that after registration for admission in class I, they will have to submit the print-out of the registration form along with the documents sought in the Kendriya Vidyalaya within the stipulated time frame. The following documents will be required for registration in class 1 –

  • Age certificate (Birth certificate)
  • residence certificate
  • In case of grand-children of an MP or PSU employee, proof of the relationship with the child’s parents will have to be uploaded and attached.
  • In case of Grand-Children of KVS employee, proof of relation with child’s parents will have to be uploaded and uploaded.
  • In case of SC, ST or OBC, caste certificate will have to be uploaded and attached.
  • In case of disability, a certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon / Rehabilitation Center or any other competent officer will have to be attached.
  • The service certificate will have to be submitted during the last seven years of transfer.
  • In the event of an unformed defense employee, a certificate of retirement will be required.
