Bihar Board Matric and Inter students demand postponement of examination, stated this reason

Thousands of candidates, who are going to take the Bihar Board Matric and Inter examination next month, have demanded to postpone the exam due to security reasons and poor preparation. Students say that they have not been able to study due to the school being closed for months. They also did not have the facility of online class. They have not even got time to revise the course.

It is important to note that Bihar Board Inter Exam is going to be held from February 1 to 13 and Matriculation Exam from February 17 to February 24.

The students said that the Bihar board is playing with their future. It has neither moved the examination schedule by two to three months nor shortened the course like the central boards like CBSE even in the position of Covid-19. Examiners said that the Bihar board is adamant on its exam calendar.

Amit Kumar, a Class 12 student of a government school, said, ‘There has been no online class in my school for the last 10 months. We have to rely mostly on tuition for preparation but they were also closed due to Covid-19. I doubt whether I will be able to pass or not. ‘

The 17-year-old student said, ‘BSEB is doing injustice to us. Neither the syllabus is reduced nor is extra time given for preparation. In such a situation, the students of the other board will lag behind. We will have fewer marks than students of other boards and we will lag behind them in higher education, as well as we will not be able to get seats in good colleges.

Supriya Rani, another student of class 12, said, ‘There is not even 10 days left in the exam and my confidence status is bad. I have not been able to understand many topics of physics and maths correctly.

Students have also questioned the Kovid-19 security protocol after several teachers and students in several schools in Patna, Gaya and Munger were found to be corona infected.

To further intensify their demand, students have also launched a campaign on Twitter with the hash tag # postpone_biharboardexam2021.

A teacher of Shastri Nagar Kanya Vidyalaya said that even after the opening of the school, the attendance of students was very less. Most students are mostly unaware of the topic. This year the pass percentage will fall.

Meanwhile, Bihar Board officials have stepped up the preparation to conduct the exam. A board official said, “One Bench-One Student Formula will be adopted for conducting examination with social distance. For this, the number of examination centers has been increased. To make the paper easier, the number of optional questions has been increased in the question paper.
