Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) has conducted Common Admission Test (CAT) Exam 2016 in the Engineering Stream. 1.95 Lac students appeared in this Examination and 20 students scored 100 percentile in this Examination. This exam was held on 4th December 2016. According to the data released students of Jaipur scored good percentiles and their performance in this examination is brilliant.
Raag Khandwal of Jaipur scored 99.99 percentile and set his position in the list of toppers. Shubham Goyal scored 99.94 percentile and Ajay Agarwal scored 99.81 percentile. Today in this article of toppers interview, we are sharing some preparation tips shared by the qualifiers for all the candidates who wish to fight CAT Examination.
Raag Kanadwal, Shubham Goyal, Ajay Agarwal qualified the examination and their self-confidence made them to achieve this grand success. So, here are some questions and answers that will surely motivate the students preparing for IIM CAT Examinations.
Q.1: How you all are taking this achievement?
Raag: Well, I never thought that I will reach this position. I knew that I will qualify this exam but getting 99.99 percentile is a big surprise for me.
Shubham: I am on the top of the world. Everybody in my home and neighbours are happy for me and now people are recognizing me as CAT Qualifier that is the big achievement for me.
Ajay: It’s a big surprise and a great moment for me. I was quiet sure that I will qualify this exam but getting 99.81 percentile was not expected. I am very happy with my result.
Q.2: How much time you used to spend with your studies?
Raag: I used to spend most of the time at my studies and I was regular at my studies, my concepts were clear. I used to go tuitions regularly and side by side I focused on Mock Test.
Shubham: I used to spend 6 hours daily at my studies. In was regular and conscious during studies. I focused on Mock Test very keenly.
Ajay: I used to spend maximum time on books. I focused on Mock Test and my base was very strong. Syllabus was tough but being in touch of books helped me a lot to qualify this exam
Q.3: How you prepared yourself for CAT?
Raag: I was good at studies from the staring days of schooling. I was keenly interested to get selected in IIM CAT in Engineering stream.
Shubham: I just get connected to my syllabus. I motivated myself to get selected in IIIM CAT Exams
Ajay: I just focused on books of good writers and syllabus.
Q.4: Any Other Preparation you made to crack this Examination
Raag: Yes I not only focused on the syllabus books but also I keep myself updated with other books too and to enhance my General Knowledge I regularly read Newspaper seriously and I also took tuitions.
Shubham: I was regular at my studies. I prepared previous year question papers too and it really helped me. Newspapers and current affairs also helped me to crack this exam.
Ajay: I used to study books of General Knowledge and also heard News on Radio. My time was scheduled very tight.
Q.5: Enough about Studies tell us about your hobbies?
Raag: I am a decent and studious boy. I love music and Playing Guitar. I am a guitarist too. In fact when I feel boredom with books or feel sleepy I start playing guitar.
Shubham: I love music, so I listen music in the free time but I can’t sing. I love watching movies, going out and chilling with friend. I am fun loving boy.
