Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute, Bhavnagar has recently announced a vacancy for the post of a Project Associate to work on a project entitled “Cost-effective sustainable process for microalgal based γ-linolenic acid production from through biorefinery approach’.” in which he or she has to work on Competence in isolation of microalgae and optimization of their media components for higher PUFA production, purification of γ-linolenic acid, microbial synthesis of biopolymers. Those candidates who have done Masters Degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences from a re4cognized university or institute can apply for the post.

Educational Qualification
- Masters Degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences/MVSc
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a Recognised University or equivalent.
- Candidates having research experience in the area of Microalgal Biotechnology or Valorisation of Microalgal Biomass and experience in the area of microbial fermentation for biopolymer production would be preferred.
Selection Process
Those candidates who are eligible will appear for the written exam and then shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and selection will be based on that only.
