Central Ground Water Board is a subordibate office of the Ministry of Water Resouces, River Development and Ganga Rejuvinate Government of India. It was established in 1970 to develop and disseminate technologies and implimenting policies for the Scientific and Sustainable development and management of India’s Ground Water resources, including their research, valuation, supervision, enlargement, safeguard from pollution and circulation, based on principles of economic and ecological efficiency and equity.
