Administrator VP Singh Badnore, who was presiding over the Kovid War Room meeting held at Punjab Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, issued this order. All universities, colleges and institutes affiliated to higher education in Chandigarh will open from the new academic session starting from August 2021. In this, the condition will be that all teaching, non-teaching staff and students should have received one dose of the vaccine at least two weeks before. The administrator said that the situation will be reviewed again in the next few days in view of the corona epidemic. Let us inform that the institutes related to higher education of the city have been closed since the start of the second wave. After five months, they will be back again.

If you do not wear a mask, now strict action

Expressing concern over the increasing crowd at Sukhna Lake and Public Place, Administrator Badnore has instructed the police to increase strictness. Police should strictly deal with those who do not wear masks and violate Kovid protocol at such places. Strictest action should be taken against such people.

Exhibition and show also approved

Giving some more relief, the administration has now given approval for commercial events like exhibitions and shows. All these can be done only after the prior approval of the SDM. 50 percent of the capacity of the available space or 200 people will be allowed to join them. It is mandatory to strictly follow the covid protocol.
