In Himachal Pradesh, the state’s schools and all other educational institutions will remain closed till April 15 in view of Kovid patients growing by the second wave of Corona. The Chief Minister said this during his visit to Kullu on Thursday in Dhalpur. He said that earlier the schools were closed till April 4, but the government has now decided to close schools, colleges and all other educational institutions due to the increase in Corona cases. However, there will be no restriction on the development work and the movement of tourists in the state.

The CM said that the condition of the corona is constantly being monitored. He also appealed to the people of the state to ensure compliance with the government and administration guidelines to prevent the spread of corona infection. The Chief Minister said that the last whole year has passed amid the crisis of Corona infection, which adversely affected the economic activities across the country. In spite of this, the state government has made the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth 3500 crores in various assembly constituencies through virtual use of technology.

The Chief Minister said that due to Covid-19, there was a big loss especially in the tourism sector last year. There is no ban on the movement of tourists in the state so far, but it is necessary to ensure compliance with the norms laid down in the SOP. He said that the corona infection is spreading rapidly in the neighboring state of Punjab, due to which cases are increasing in the border districts of the state especially Sirmaur, Kangra, Una and Solan. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scientists of the country have prepared a corona vaccine, which has proved to be effective.

From now on, this vaccine has started to be given to people 45 years and above. The vaccine will prevent infection, but be sure to use masks, social distance, and sanitizer whenever people leave for work outside the home. Regarding the by-election of Fatehpur Assembly and Mandi Lok Sabha seats of Kangra, the Chief Minister said that elections to the Municipal Corporation and Nagar Panchayats are to be held first, after which the candidates of the by-election will be discussed.
