CM Kejriwal wants to make education a mass movement in the country: Manish Sisodia

While discussing the Youth for Education programme, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “It is the vision of our Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to make education a mass movement in the country. When we look at how education is delivered in high performing countries abroad, we find that one to one mapping is practiced there. It is very important to understand the one to one mapping of each child and their individual profile. But doing one-to-one mapping of 16 lakh children studying in Delhi government schools is a big challenge. But, we have turned this challenge into an opportunity, the mission of the Youth for Education Program and the Parent Outreach Program is to do a one-to-one mapping of our children and connect the community to the school.

Discussion on the achievements of the pilot phase of the program

Let us inform that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia held an important meeting with the education officers on two important education projects of Delhi Government – Youth for Education and Parental Engagement Program. After discussing the achievements of the pilot phase of these two programs in the meeting, important points were discussed for the future. In this meeting, MLA Atishi Marlena, Delhi Education Secretary H.Rajesh Prasad, Education Director Udit Prakash Rai, SCERT Delhi Director Rajnish Kumar Singh, Chief Advisor to Director Education Shailendra Sharma along with DDEs of districts and zones were present.

In this way, preparations are being made to shape the future of children.

Discussing the need to reach out and guide the children, the Deputy Chief Minister said that there is a generation gap between parents and their children. He said, “We see a huge generation gap between ourselves and our children. Because of this, there are many things that we do not understand or explain to our child. What a child thinks or his or hers. Ideas can be understood better by another person around his age, so we need to create a system where someone around his age can give better guidance to children for a career.
