The Central University of Karnataka was established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Gulbarga, Karnataka. The 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India. It was Established in 2009. Professor H.M. Maheshwaraiah is the Vice Chancellor of the University.
