Disputed slogan written on school wall in Lalitpur, school principal and teacher suspended
During the opening of a smart school in Talbehat area of Lalitpur, objectionable remarks were written on the wall just above the site of Saraswati Puja against caste / religion. During this time, Basic Education Officer (BSA) and many officers of the Education Department were present. Despite this, neither the objectionable remarks were removed nor any action was taken in this regard. Officers’ silence broke when the video of the related slogan went viral. It is not yet clear who wrote the comment. However, the BSA has suspended an assistant teacher including the school’s in-charge headmaster in this case. DM has given instructions for detailed investigation in the case.
The smart class was inaugurated on Sunday at Composite Avni School under the development block Talbehat. BSA Rampravesh, Block Education Officer Brajesh Singh, Midday Meal Coordinator Kapil Dubey were present in the event. After the program, the photo written on the school wall slogan went viral on social media.
In this, objectionable remarks were made against a caste. This caused anger among the people. On Monday, various organizations submitted a memorandum demanding action against the culprits.
The report provided by the Block Education Officer Talbehat recommended action against the teachers working in the school. In the said case, Kadir Khan, assistant teacher working in the school and Anil Kumar (in-charge), in-charge Principal, were found prima facie guilty.
BSA Rampravesh suspended both, along with its investigation section submitted to Education Officer Barr. It also includes allegations of not complying with the Teacher Conduct Rules and disobeying departmental instructions.

BSA is seen reading the objectionable remarks in a photo taken during the opening ceremony of the smart school. Education department officials, teachers, employees were present in the ceremony. Despite this, no officer has taken cognizance of it nor removed it. However, in this regard, BSA Ramsevak said that he was not reading the objectionable remarks. He was looking at the picture of Gandhiji above him.
Two teachers have been suspended. Detailed report of the case has been sought. Action will be taken against those who are guilty –
