Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal, President of the Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation of the state, said that the Central Government has increased the scholarship budget five times for scheduled caste students who are deprived of higher education due to economic difficulties. So that he can study further. He was talking to reporters at the circuit house. Said that the Central Government will help the scheduled caste students to study further, who are unable to get higher education after the 10th pass due to financial constraints.

They will be nominated in higher education courses. According to an estimate there are currently 1.36 crore students who could not continue their education after passing 10th standard. They will be brought under the higher education system in the next five years. For this, the central government has approved Rs 54,048 crore. In this, the central government will spend Rs 35,534 crore and the state government will spend about Rs. This amount will be credited to the students account through DBT. The benefit of this scheme will start from the year 2021-22. For which the monitoring mechanism will be further strengthened.

He said that social audit would be done by conducting annual assessment from third parties and through half-yearly self-audited reports of each institution. It was informed that earlier the central assistance was about Rs 1100 crore per year during 2017-18 to 2019-20. It will be increased more than 5 times to about Rs 6,000 crore per year during the year 2020-21 to 2025-26. He was accompanied by BJP North Unit President Sunil Bajaj, South Unit President Dr. Bina Arya, Rural Unit President Krishna Murari Shukla.
