DU asked for suggestions for higher education commission

The University of Delhi has sought views from the DU heads of departments, faculty heads and college principals to prepare a detailed action plan for the formation of the Higher Education Commission. Under the new education policy, this commission is to be constituted in which DU is also being considered as an important role.

It is being told that the Union Ministry of Education has the responsibility to prepare a detailed report to DU. However, the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) has objected to not getting enough time to make suggestions. In this regard, on the day of Holi, the president and other activists have written a letter to the caretaker vice-chancellor and said that on March 23, it has been said to give suggestions to the principals, heads of departments. Two days later, the teachers came to know about it. All this has been said at a time when the open book examination is going on and it is a festival.

The future of higher education is linked to the Higher Education Commission. Therefore it is important that teachers have time to make suggestions. DU Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. PC Joshi had asked for the most suggestions by March 30, but teacher representatives say it was a hasty step.
