Education Minister will declare JEE Advanced exam date and eligibility for admission to IIT today

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will announce the date of JEE Advanced Exam 2021 today i.e. January 7, 2021 at 6.00 pm. Along with this, the Education Minister will also tell through the webinar what are the qualifications and rules required for admission to Bachelor’s degree courses in various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.

JEE Advanced exam date and eligibility for admission to IIT were given through tweet. This information was given by the Ministry of Education on 6 January 2021. Earlier, the Union Education Minister had also written in a tweet on 4 January 2021 – ‘My dear students, I will announce the date of JEE Advanced and eligibility criteria for IIT admission on January 7, 2021 at 6 pm.’

It is known that only through JEE Advanced examination, admission is given in the graduate courses of 23 IITs across the country. Only those students who perform well in JEE Main get the opportunity to give JEE Advanced. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had earlier announced the dates of JEE Main 2021 on 16 December 2020.

He also announced that from the year 2021, the JEE Mains exam will be held four times a year. These four sessions will be held in February, March, April and May. According to the released notification, the first session of JEE Mains exam will be held between 23 February to 26 February 2021.

It is worth mentioning that due to Coronavirus Covid-19 epidemic, all educational institutions of the country were shutting down. Due to this, syllabus of Central and State board examinations including CBSE has been reduced by up to 30 percent. Also, this time, due to the restrictions placed on regular classes in classrooms and preparation institutes in schools, the preparation of candidates has been significantly affected.

For this reason, students preparing for JEE Advanced exam are being requested to give concession in the eligibility criteria prescribed for admission to the Director of IIT Delhi as well as the Education Minister on various channels of social media.
