Finance Department of Directorate of Education sent the amount in April itself, yet teachers could not get salary

The salaries of teachers and non-teaching staff of non-government aided (aided) upper primary schools, KG Nursery and Montessori schools are not being paid. The Finance Department of the Directorate of Education had allocated funds in the month of April itself to pay the teachers and employees for the first six months. Due to non-payment till now, the Directorate has called for answers from Basic Education Officers and Finance and Accounts Officers. It has been asked that under what circumstances the payment could not be made even after allotment of funds. Now it is expected that soon those teachers of the state who are deprived of it will be able to get their salary.

Finance officer of Directorate of Education summoned for non-payment

Saroj Kumar Prajapati, Senior Finance and Accounts Officer of the Directorate of Education, Prayagraj, has asked about this by sending a letter to the BSAs of all the districts. It was said in the letter that all the teachers and non-teaching staff working in Aided Upper Primary and KG, Montessori schools in the state have been allotted the amount of salary in the financial year 2021-22 only on April 26. Even after sending the allocation of salary to be given in the first six months, complaints have been received from many districts to the Director General of School Education that the payment has not been received. Due to this, there is resentment among the teachers and employees, the Director General has ordered for speedy disposal of this matter.

The directorate has asked the officers of the districts to explain why the payment process could not be done after receiving the money, citing justifiable reasons. Provide all district consumption certificates also. The directorate has sought this reply by email by 5 pm on June 16, so that necessary action can be taken by informing the Director General. A copy of the reply has also been asked to be sent to the Director of Education Basic.
