Junior Physician is a person, who are postgraduate training. They are qualified to practice medicine, especially one who specializes in diagnosis and medical treatment as distinct from surgery.

Veterinary Officer Diagnose, treat, or research diseases and injuries of animals and also Includes veterinarians who conduct research and development, inspect livestock, or care for pets and companion animals.

 Eligibility Criteria:


For Veterinary Officer: 

Recognised Veterinary qualification included in the First or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984) and registered with a Goa State Veterinary Council.

For Junior Physician

A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956).

Nationality: Indian

Age Limit: 42 years

Goa Public Service Commission is government body created by the Constitution of India. Goa PSC advises the government on all matters relating to State Civil Services which comes under Article 320 (3). It conducts exams for appointment to the civil services for Goa. Shri. Kurapati Dwarakanath Row is the current chairman of Goa PSC. The total number of sanctioned staff strength of Group C and D staff of Goa PSC is 38. Recently a post of “Technical Officer (Computer)” is created to computerize the functioning of the Commission.

The smallest state of the country, Goa lies in the western region of India. Panaji, the capital of Goa, lies on the banks of the Mandovi River estuary. Its population is 114,450, out of which 52 % are male and 48% are females. Literacy rate of Goa is 90.9%. It is spread over the area of 36 square kilometres. It is the largest city of Goa. Colorful Villas, cobbed streets and interesting buildings gives Panaji a Portuguese ambience. The main attraction of the city is Church Square and Municipal Garden.
