Good news: High school teachers will get promotion- Secondary Education Jharkhand

Promotion will be given to the teachers of high schools of Jharkhand. For this, all the districts have been asked to provide reports related to service confirmation, salary protection, service continuity, selection, promotion and retirement of graduate teachers. Director of Secondary Education Harsh Mangla has directed the districts to provide the report by August 10.

The districts have to indicate the year of appointment of teachers, the total number of teachers, the number of teachers who have completed 12 years of service and the number of teachers who have received the preferred pay scale. Along with this, the matter of the preferred pay scale of how many teachers is pending and what is the main reason for the pendency will have to be given. At the same time, in the selection pay scale report, the year of appointment of teachers, their number, number of teachers who have completed 24 years of service, number of teachers who have received environmental pay scale, pending cases and reasons for this will also have to be reported. Similarly, in the service confirmation report, the year of appointment of such teachers, their number of pending cases and reasons therefor will have to be given.

Also, how many cases are there in service continuity, how many service continuity orders have been issued and how many are pending. Information has also been sought about how many cases of salary protection and in how many orders have been issued and how many are pending. Along with this, the retirement related matters will also have to be told by the year 2020. In this, the year of appointment of the concerned teacher, complete retirement related cases till December 2020, number of cases currently executed, pending cases and reasons for pendency will have to be reported.

Apart from this, information regarding teachers who retired from January to June in 2021 will have to be made available. After the reports come from the districts, other matters including promotion of teachers in high schools will be executed.

Service of plus two teachers confirmed
The services of teachers of plus two schools in the state are being confirmed. The Director of Secondary Education is disposing of the pending proposal. He has said that the pending service book of teachers of a district will be updated every week. The service confirmation action of elementary school teachers is also very slow. So far, the service of only very few teachers appointed in 2015-16 has been confirmed.

No promotion since the formation of the state
Subject based posts in middle schools of the state have been reserved to be filled by promotion of trained teachers. The sanctioned posts in these posts are 6683. The number working in it is 2911, while 3772 posts are vacant.

Chief spokesperson of All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association Naseem Ahmed said that till now no work has been done in the direction of completing the promotion work since the formation of the state. Court has given hundreds of justice orders, despite this the department is not serious about its promotion. Thousands of teachers are retiring without promotion. Even after this, the department is sleeping in a deep sleep.

The posts of principals are also vacant
Out of 3192 sanctioned posts of headmasters in middle schools of the state, only 144 are working, while 3046 posts are vacant. In this way, the posts of headmasters are lying vacant in 95 percent of the middle schools of the state. More than ten districts of the state are Hazaribagh, Sahibganj, Simdega, Chatra, Lohardaga, Seraikela Kharsawan, Khunti, Ramgarh, Pakur, Koderma, headmasterless. Not only this, twelve districts Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Jamtara, Deoghar, Gumla, Garhwa, Giridih, Latehar, Godda have headmasters in unit numbers. The same is true of high and plus two schools. In most places, work is going on on charge.
