Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Lecturer civil Engineering should have First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable : Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in Himachal Pradesh.
Pay Scale : The engagement of deserving candidate is purely fram Student Welfare Fund @350/- per hour for theory class, @ 150/- per hour for practical class maximum of Rs. 21000/- per month.

Govt. Polytechnic Talwar was established by the state govt. in the year 2008 with two diploma courses in civil Engg. and automobile Engg. of 3 years duration. The institute is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education of Govt. Of India (AICTE) and affiliated with H.P Takniki Shiksha Board Dharamshala. The campus is located 50 km from Palampur and 38 km from Hamirpur.
