Himachal Pradesh Education Department laps budget of Rs 3.5 crore, read the entire case

The budget of three and a half crores approved for sports activities in the academic session 2020-21 in Himachal Education Department, Himachal Pradesh government schools has been slashed. Due to the Corona epidemic, no sports activity was conducted in schools throughout the year. 

Apart from this, camps of NSS also could not be organized. Apart from sports activities, construction of sports grounds and purchase of sports equipment were also not done. Schools were closed in March due to the Corona epidemic. Other activities from studies were conducted online, but sports activities were not conducted. Due to this, the budget could not be spent.

Joint Director (Elementary Education) Hitesh Azad said that a budget of three and a half crores was sanctioned for sports activities. Schools were closed, due to which the budget could not be spent. He said that now is the time for annual examinations, sports activities are no longer possible.
