Peon duty is to carry and deliver the dak within and outside the office; to ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of the section wherein posted and of the furniture/fixtures and equipment; to attend any work that may be assigned and to attend the officers at headquarters and while on tour.
clerk is a white-collar worker who conducts general office tasks, or a worker who performs similar sales-related tasks in a retail environment (a retail clerk). The responsibilities of clerical workers commonly include record keeping, filing, staffing service counters, screening solicitors, and other administrative tasks.

Qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Clerk should be Graduate or equivalent from a recognised university.
Recruitment shall be made on the basis of written/screening test. followed by typing test with minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in English on computer and personal Interview.
The candidate should have knowledge of Word Processing’ in Computer.

Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Peon should be Matriculation. Recruitment shall be made on the basis of personal interview/ screening test or both.

The Himachal Pradesh Administrative Tribunal deals with the dissolution of service matters of the Himachal Pradesh Government employees with regard to their service conditions vis a vis retirement, promotion, transfer & so on.
