Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Lecturer should possess B.Pharmacy degree & M.Pharmacy in the subject of Pharmacology from the recognized university approved by P.C.I. and A.I.C.T.E. duly recognized by Govt. of H.P.
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 25 to 60 years.

Department of Ayurveda is responsible for the management of all Institutions of Ayurveda in the state, besides allopathy. Ancient Science Ayurveda is widely acceptabl e in the State and the way of treatment is affordable to the masses in the State. Keeping these facts in view the State Government paid special attention by creating a separate department called Department of Ayurveda as per the Rules of Business on 7th November, 1984 bifurcating from the Health & Family Welfare Department. Since then Indian systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy have played historically a vital role in the Health care systems of the State of Himachal Pradesh. This department includes the Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidha and Homoeopathy systems of medicines. In the Govt. of India this department has now been name AYUSH. At the time of bifurcation there werefew institutions for catering to the people of the state, which with the special patronage of the Govt.
