Indian Council of Agriculture Research(ICAR) has invited application from the eligible candidates for the position of  SRF(Principal investigator) in Indian Institute of Millets Research(IIMR) . Who will be assesning the project ‘National Agriculture Innovation Fund’ for Zonal Technology Mangement Centre(ZTMC).
Senior research fellow(SRF) lead and manage research projects and contributes to the research strategies of the unit and the faculty. Developing proposals and strategies for the project, Interpreting research findings, leading a group, preparing reports & information, managing resources & budget are some of  the responsibilities of SRF.

Pay Scale: INR 28000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate must posses post graduation from basic science and should have NET qualification.
  • MSc / MSc (Ag) in plant breeding /Genetics/Life sciences/allied subjects.
  • Experience in IPR Management/Plant variety Protection will be admired.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 and Maximum  45 years

Selection Process: Based on walk-in Interview

Organisation: Indian Institute of millets Reseacrh is the central agency of ICAR. The basic and strategic centre is located at Hyderabad. Other two major centres for region-specific research and services are Sholapur(Maharashtra) and Warangal (Telagana).

Andhra Pradesh is situated on the southeastern coast of the country. The state is the eighth largest state in India covering an area of 160,205 km2. On 2nd June 2014, the north-western portion of the state was divided to form a new state of Telangana. Telgu is the official language spoken all over the state. Hyderabad is the capital of southern state of Telagana and Andhra pradesh which is situated on the bank of river Musi occupying the area around 922 sqkms. In terms of population the city comes on 4th position in state, having the population of around 6.8 millions. Economically it is  the fifth largest contributer in India’s overall Gross Domestic Product. Many Special Economic Zones have landed their feet giving employment to more than lakhs of people. Hussain Sagar lake, Qutubminar , Sultan Bazaar are some of the attractive tourists places.
