Jadavpur University gets third place in Times Higher Education Ranking 2021
Jadavpur University has secured the third position among all the state universities in the country in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021. Jadavpur University Vice Chancellor Prof. Suranjan Das said in a statement issued on Sunday that JU University tops the list of all state universities in the eastern region. The Vice Chancellor of the University is very happy after this achievement. He said that similar efforts would be made by the university in future also.
There are only two universities ahead of JU University. Along with this, he also said that only two state universities are ahead of Savitribai Philae Pune University and Panjab University in the ranking ahead of the University of Kolkata. Professor Das said, “Despite the closure of the campus from the end of March in 2020, these rankings reflect our continuous research activities towards higher academic excellence even during the COVID-19 pandemic. And this has been made possible by faculty members, researchers, students and other stakeholders. “
JU got second place in Indian State University in QS Ranking JU was one of the top 22 Indian Institutes in QS (Quacquerelli Symonds) Ranking 2022. Let us inform that London-based Quacquerelli Symonds has recently released the QS World University Rankings 2022. It is worth mentioning that in the QS ranking, Jadavpur University has secured the second position among all the state universities of India and first in the eastern region.
Other Institutions in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021
Only two state universities, including Savitribai Phule Pune University and Panjab University, are ahead of Kolkata-based universities, apart from JU, in the rankings. IISc Bangalore has secured 37th position. The same IIT Ropar, IIT Indore has been ranked among the top 100 universities in Asia in the latest Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021. In this list, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar has been topped at 55th position and IIT Indore at 78th position.
China’s Tsinghua University tops the rankings
Tsinghua University, China has been ranked first in the Asia University Rankings 2021. The second place has also been secured by Peking University of China. The third and fifth ranks have been achieved by the universities of Singapore. Whereas, the University of Hong Kong is ranked fourth in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings.
