Project Title: Indo-US program on Human Immunity to Chikungunya Virus.” (Funding agency-DBT)

Duration of project: One Year (Extendable up to 3 Years)

Essential Qualification:

  1. First class Masters degree in the field of Life Sciences (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Zoology) from a recognized University.
  2. Qualified NET – JRF/LS examination of CSIR/UGC. Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having research experience in virology/microbiology/cell culture.

The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. He gave the name “Hamdard” to his venture which means “sympathy for all and sharing of pain”.

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board work is to finalize the selections after holding such tests or examinations as may be prescribed under rules, or if there are no such rule as the Board may consider necessary. The Board while making selections and allocating candidates to various cadres shall take into account the reservations made from time to time for various categories. The Services Selection Board has been constituted in exercise of powers conferred by Provision of Section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Rules have been made under SRO 194 of 1992 as amended upto date.
