The long wait of the JEE candidates has ended when the CBSE declared the result of JEE Mains 2017 today. More than 12 lakh students have appeared for the joint entrance exam to get admission into the top government engineering universities and institutions including IIITs and NITs across the country.
Rajasthan’s Kalpit Veerwal earned the All India Rank 1 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017. He scored score full marks 360 out of 360 in the JEE examination. RK Chaturvedi, the head of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) called him to give the good news. Veerwal who hails from Udaipur is the topper in general and Scheduled Caste category as well.
The 17-year-old Kalpit who appeared for the 10+2 from MDS Public School, said that, “It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains but I am taking it normally and focusing on JEE Advanced, which would be held next month.”
Veerwal said that, “I did regular studies, never missed the classes, kept my confidence high and cleared doubts from teachers to achieve success in JEE Mains 2017.”
He added that, “I used to study for around 5-6 hours daily apart from coaching classes and classes in school.” “My parents looked after me well so that I do not get ill and miss studies,” he added.
Veerwal gives credit to his family members, Udaipur branch of Kota-based Resonance Eduventure Private Limited and teachers for his achievement. He was admitted in the coaching institute when he was in 8th standard.
Veerwal’s father Pushkar Lal Veerwal is a compounder at Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital in Udaipur and his mother Pushpa Veerwal is a government school teacher.
The managing director of Resonance Eduventures, RK Verma, praised Veerwal for the achievement and said that, “Kalpit has made the institute and state proud by being a topper in JEE Mains 2017. It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction and happiness for the institute.”
