(Jammu & Kashmir) J&k PSC Recruitment for Range Officer 2015. Jammu and Kashmir issued a notification for the post of Range officer Grade – I 2015.
Range officer is responsible for the safety of all BSLC customers and staff. He has extensive knowledge about the operation of firearms of all type and he may be called to offer assistance for shooters using the lanes. His primarily duty is to organize, conduct and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations for all shooters at all times.

Qualification: candidates applying for the post of Range officer Grade – I should have B.Sc. in Forestry or its equivalent from any university / institute recognized by the India council of Agriculture research.
Age Limit: The age of the candidates applying for the post of Range officer Grade – I should not less than 18 years and should not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2015.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below:
i) By 3 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
ii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
iii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to RBA communities.
iv) By 3 years for candidates belonging to ALC communities.
v) By 3 years for candidates belonging to SLC communities.
vi) By 2 years for candidates belonging to PWD communities.

Application Fee: Interested and eligible candidates applying for the post of Range officer Grade – I are required to pay application fee Rs 500 for General category candidates and Rs 250/- for all other category candidates. Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Jammu and Kashmir public service commission, Polo Ground Srinagar / Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu from 09.30 a.m. to 03.00 p.m. on all working days.
