Assistant Director is assigned the work of technical supervision of the respective programme allotted to them by the Director. He assists director and other managerial staff. He provides training and guidance to the employees. His delegate duties like typing, copying and scanning.

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Director should possess MBBS or possession of recognized Graduate Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical council Act 1956, Master’s in Public Health Hospital Administration, MD Community Medicine recognized by the MCI with at least three years of experience after post-graduation.

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should between 18 to 40 years for general, 42 years for Physical handicapped, 43 years for RBA/ SC/ ST/ ALC/ SLC, 48 years for Ex-Servicemen as on 01-01-2015.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100+ GP Rs.6600/-

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Written Screening Test and interview.

Application Form & Fee: Candidates can obtain application forms from the Office of the J&K Public Service Commission, Solina Srinagar/ Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu on cash payment of Rs. 500/- (excluding processing charges of Rs.10/) in respect of General Category candidates and Rs. 250/- (excluding processing charges of Rs. 10/-) in respect of Category candidates through the counters of J&K Bank opened in the offices of J&K Public Service Commission at Solina, Srinagar/ Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu in the form of Bank Draft drawn from J&K Bank Limited only or by cash at J&K Bank counters opened in P.S.C Offices both at Jammu/ Srinagar.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their application in prescribed format along with recent passport size photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer, self-attested copies of relevant documents as given in the notification to office of the Secretary J&K Public Service Commission Reshamghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu / Solina Srinagar on or before 12-10-2015.

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission was established, under section 128 of the Constitution of J&K, on September 2, 1957, Under section 129 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir the Chairman and the Members of the Public Service Commission are appointed by the Governor for a period of five years or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier. S. L. Bhatt is the current Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission.

Srinagar is the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley, on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. As of 2011 census Srinagar urban agglomeration had 1,273,312 population. Both the city and the urban agglomeration has average literacy rate of approximately 71%, whereas the national average is 74.04%. The child population of both the city and the urban agglomeration is approximately 12% of the total population. Males constituted 53.0% and females 47.0% of the population. The sex ratio in the city area is 888 females per 1000 males, whereas in the urban agglomeration it is 880 per 1000, and nationwide value of this ratio is 940

Kashmiri, Urdu, Dogri, Pahari, Balti, Ladakhi, Gojri, Shina and Pashto are the official languages of the state.
