Nagaland is a state in Northeast India. It borders the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Burma to the east and Manipur to the south. Kohima is the Capital of the state. Nagaland became the 16th state of India on 1 December 1963.Highest economic source of the state is Agriculture. Nagaland is a Mountainous state. Nagaland is a Monsoon state where rainfall averages around 70–100 inches. The population of state is nearly two million including 1.04 million males and 0.95 million females. The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Nagaland was about 12065 crore as per census 2011-2012.Nagaland is known as the land of festivals.
