Jharkhand Administration Service (JAS) is the supreme civil service of the Indian state Jharkhand. The recruitment to the service is made on the basis of an annual competitive exam. The officers of JAS are included in the state cadre of civil service officers.

Candidate must have passed their Bachelor degree or any equally marked qualification from reputed University/Institutions.
Organization has announced for application fees as BC-I/ BC-II contenders has to pay Rs.450/- (Rs.400/- for Exam Fee + Rs.50/- for Bank Charges) & SC & ST contenders of Jharkhand has to pay Rs.150/- (Rs.100/- for Exam Fee + Rs.50/- for Bank Charges) through State Bank of India.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) constituted by the Governor of Jharkhand under the provision of Article 315 of the constitution of India. It was established with the aim of making a commission, which is fully responsible for making the recruitment for the government posts of the state. It conducts written competitive exams for various government posts and interviews for the selection of candidates.

The state have largest open cast mines in Asia, largest fertilizer factory of India and also have first Iron &steel and biggest explosives factory. Jharkhand has the source of the Koel, Damodar, Brahmani, Kharkai and Subarnarekha rivers. Jharkhand usually have moderate climate and three well-defined seasons. Jharkhand have three languages the Munda language, the Indo-Aryan language and the Dravidian language.
