Hamirpur Crores of land was donated to create education, at present, more than 100 shops have been built on that donated land. The city council is collecting rent from dozens of shops in Hamirpur. Some local shopkeepers have also encroached on this land registered in the name of Education Department. The Principal of the Government Senior Secondary School, Bal has now written a letter to the Revenue Department for the identification of the land registered in the name of the school.

After receiving a letter from the school administration, Tehsildar Hamirpur has issued orders to Patwari and two Kanungos to demarcate the land registered in the name of the school. After almost three days of spotting, this work is being delayed due to public holiday. After the holiday, all the land will be demarcated again. Explain that a Brahmin family of Hamirpur had donated about 25 kanals of land for the school in the district headquarters Hamirpur decades ago to the Education Department. At that time, Hamirpur was not a district but a tehsil. After which a large school building and sports ground were constructed here. Later the Education Department did not pay attention to this land. As a result, the city council has built more than 100 shops along with the school grounds. Out of which the city council is getting the rent of more than 60 shops while some shops are still vacant. Now the education department has started the work of spotting this land donated Is done. Encroachment will be tightened after spotting is completed.

Here, Naveen Thakur, Principal of Rawamapa Bal, said that a large part of the school’s land is vulnerable to encroachment. Due to which the revenue department is being made to be nabbed.
On the other hand, Tehsildar Hamirpur Ashok Pathania said that the work of spotting the land of the school is going on. For this, the duty of two patwari and two lawmen have been imposed. Till now it will take about four to five days more.
