Ministry of Education is going to amend this scheme, know all the details related to it

The Union Ministry of Education is considering revising the Knowledge Plan (Global Indicative of Academic Networks) to improve the quality of higher education in the country through internal cooperation. An official of the ministry told the news agency that it is proposed to revise the Gyan Yojana as ‘Gyan Plus Yojana’

According to the information received from the Department of Higher Education, the existing knowledge scheme has a provision of one-way connectivity i.e. foreign faculty (academic person) is coming to India to teach in Indian educational institutions. On this subject, the Expert Committee constituted by the Ministry of Education has recommended that there is a need to restructure the current knowledge plan (GIAN Yojana). Under this, a revised scheme has been proposed to be named Gyan Plus Yojana.

Officials said that there will be a provision to teach Indian faculty faculties in foreign institutions as well. This will give them experience of internal internships and practices for performance. The department believes that by coming back clear, it can bring about positive positive changes by improving the content design, evaluation and course management skills of its institute.

It is worth noting that the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) was started on 30 November 2015. Through this program, eminent academics, scientists, experts etc. of reputed institutes from all over the world are invited to teach in higher educational institutions in India. IIT Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) is the main institution of national coordination for GIAN.
