NEET UG 2021: NEET UG exam postponed, read updates

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2021) is to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on August 1, 2021. However, the application form for NEET exam has not been made available on the official website and no update has been given in this regard. At the same time, in the first week of June, NTA launched the official website for NEET UG 2021, neet.nta.nic.in. Information was given about making the application form for NEET exam available soon on this new website.

On the other hand, as per the media reports, the NEET exam is likely to be postponed. Many experts believe that it is not possible to conduct the exam on 1st August, the date fixed by NTA. Some experts said that the registration process and allotment of exam centers takes around 45 days. The registration process has not started yet. If the process of registration is started by NTA even at this time, the candidates will be considered for giving 25 days time. Also, once the process is over, the agency will not be able to process applications till the end of July to conduct the exam on August 1.

At the same time, many other experts are also of the opinion that now there is no tentative time limit available to conduct the exam on 1st August. As far as the tentative dates are concerned, many experts are of the view that there is a possibility that the registration process may start from July 1 and the exam may be postponed till the end of August. It is to be noted that NEET UG exam is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses as well as BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. NTA has made it clear that the exam will be conducted offline, i.e. in pen and paper mode only. This time, the entrance exam is to be conducted in a total of 11 languages including Hindi and English.
