Laboratory technicians collect examine and test body fluids, tissue cells and other substances. These technicians typically perform their job duties under the guidance of laboratory technologists or laboratory managers. They may work at hospitals, medical laboratories, physician offices and university labs. Many lab technicians spend most of their work shifts on their feet, and they may need to work overnight if their labs run around the clock. Although these workers often deal with toxic materials, very little risk of infection exists.

1. Laboratory Technician-

Educational Qualification: 10+2 in Science or its equivalent from a recognized Board of School Education/University. One year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an institution recognized by State Government. OR B.Sc. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Himachal Pradesh University or equivalent Degree recognized by the State Government. (Preference will be given to Person holding graduate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology on regular basis.) Should be registered with HP Para Medical Council for the above qualification.

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitable for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Pay scale: Rs.7910/-

Age: 18-45 Years

2. Sr. Treatment Supervisor-

Total posts: 22

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree or recognized Sanitary Inspectors Course. Preference to those having Tuberculosis Health Visitors recognized course or recognized degree/diploma in Social work or Medical Social Work. Candidate should have also valid Two Wheeler driving license.

Pay scale: Rs.8710/-

Age: 18-45 Years

Fee: Demand Draft of Rs.200/- in case of UR candidate and Rs.100/- in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, which can be downloaded from Website of the National Health Mission.

How to Apply: Candidates who fulfill the requisite qualifications, experience and age criteria may apply to the concerned Chief Medical Officer, Himachal Pradesh on or before 20-10-2015, 4.00 P.M

National Health Mission: In Himachal Pradesh the Mission is operating through the existing structures of Health Department upto Sub-Centres level. There is a State Health Mission at the State level chaired by Hon’ble Chief Minister. A District Health Mission has been constituted at District Level with Chief Medical Officer as Member Secretary and Deputy Commissioner as convener. The Govt. has decided to constitute Rogi Kalyan Samities upto PHC level with increased public and Panchayati Raj partnership. The community is also involved in the functioning of health institutions through Village Health Committees at village level, Panchayat Sub-Committees on Health Education and Sanitation at Panchayat level and Rogi Kalyan Samities in all the Hospitals from PHC upwards.
