Project Title: Geodynamics and Earthquake generating processes in NE India and Andaman Subduction Zone (GENIAS)
Project Duration: 12 Months
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech) Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology/ Marine Science (specialization in Marine Geology). Candidates who have cleared CSIR-UGC NET (LS) Exam may be considered for JRF (LS) position.
Desirable: Ocean going experience. Knowledge of computer software like MS Office and Excel. Should have aptitude to carry out independent research. To have a valid passport. Acquaintance and capability to operate the analytical equipments and other laboratory work

The principal focus of research has been on observing and understanding special oceanographic characteristics of the Indian Ocean.
