Normal functioning in educational institutions in Assam will start from January 1

Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday that due to the Kovid-19 rules, all restrictions on educational institutions from primary schools to universities will be removed from January 1.

The minister said that the situation arising out of Kovid-19 in the state has improved compared to earlier. At present, the infection rate is very low, due to which a decision has been taken to remove the restrictions.

He said that the arrangement of attendance of various classes will be allowed to end and the regular classes of all levels will start from next year.
