Poor parents could not get mobile due to online education, student committed suicide

Nanded district of Maharashtra, a girl student committed suicide in depression due to not being able to buy a mobile phone for online education. Due to the poverty of the parents, the girl student could not buy mobile for online education and due to this she committed suicide.

A Nanded official said that the girl, a resident of Naigaon area here, committed suicide by hanging herself in her house on June 16. The Naigaon police station official said that the girl who committed suicide was a class 11 student. His parents are daily wage labourers.

Was troubled by not being able to
take online classes, since the lockdown was imposed, the student needed a phone to take online classes but her family members were unable to arrange money to buy the phone. Due to this the girl took this step. Police have found a suicide note from the spot. The parents of the deceased have also told the reason for the incident to be a phone call.
