Preparation for bumper promotion of officers in Uttarakhand Education Department this year

There is news of relief in the new year for the officers of the Education Department who have been waiting for promotion for a long time. This year, there is going to be a bumper promotion of officers in the department. The Education Minister has approved for promotion to the post of Education Officer, a block of 11 Deputy Education Officers. While the proposal has been sent to the government by the Directorate General of Education for promotion of officers from the Deputy Director to the Additional Director level.  Promotion of officials in the Education Department has been hanging for a long time. This is the reason that most of the block education officers, district education officers, chief education officers, deputy directors, additional directors are in-charge officers. There was resentment among the departmental officials for not having DPC for promotion from June 2019.

According to Education Minister Arvind Pandey, approval was sought from the department for 11 officers for promotion from the Deputy Education Officer to the post of Block Education Officer. Which has been approved. At the same time, instructions have been given for the promotion of other officers as well.

According to Additional Director Vandana Garbyal in the Directorate General of Education, a proposal for promotion to the post of Block Education Officer of 31 Deputy Education Officers has been sent by the Directorate General to the Government. Apart from this, a proposal has been sent to promote nine officers to the post of Additional Director, 11 to Joint Director, 18 to the post of Deputy Director.

Maximum 35 posts of block education officers are vacant
The maximum posts of Block Education Officers in the Education Department are 35 vacancies. According to the officials of the department, the officers in charge have been seated due to not having officers in these positions.

Due to this delay
in promotion, the promotion is delayed due to non-receipt of CRs of officers in the department and change of officers at the government level. Some officials of the department say that they were to have DPC for promotion in June 2019, but it has not happened yet. While the state government has issued a pending promotion directive in all departments. Even after this, the department promotions are hanging.

1000 principal and 550 head master will be in charge
After the instruction of the promotion and appointment of vacant posts of Principal and Headmasters in the Department of Education Minister Arvind Pandey, on Tuesday, a proposal has been sent by the Directorate of Education to the Government to make the Principal and Headmaster in-charge of their vacant posts in schools.
