This information has been given by the sources. A source said, ‘Prime Minister Modi will address a program to be organized on the completion of one year of the National Education Policy. During this, he can speak on the progress made in the implementation of this policy so far and also give an outline of the upcoming projects.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also address this program to be organized through digital medium. The National Education Policy-2020 was approved by the Union Cabinet on July 29 last year. In this policy, special attention has been given to issues like access, equity, quality, affordability and accountability of education.

Under the new education policy, a target of investment equal to 6 percent of the country’s GDP has been set on the education sector in collaboration with the central and state governments. Under the new education policy, it has also been approved to change the name of ‘Ministry of Human Resource Development’ to ‘Ministry of Education’.
