Quality of Education: The number of B.Ed. teacher candidates open in written examination, many got zero number
The process of recruitment of teachers for teaching English is going on in 52 excellent English medium schools opened this year in all districts of Chhattisgarh. In view of this, the interview of the selected candidates in written examination in Raipur will also start from 8:30 am on November 27 in the District Panchayat Office. On 28 November, candidates for primary schools and secondary teachers will be interviewed for primary schools and secondary schools.
The remaining candidates will be interviewed on 27 November only. Some B.Ed teacher candidates have got zero marks in the exam, in such a situation the poll of educational institutes claiming quality of education has been revealed once again. Teachers are appointed on the basis of B.Ed. diploma and the same has been kept the criteria of appointment in the whole country. In such a situation, the District Education Officer’s office has raised questions on the degree of such teachers, even receiving zero marks in the general examination related to teachers.
District Education Officer GR Chandrakar says that according to the criteria for recruitment of teachers in school education, written examination of teachers of English medium schools was also conducted, some of these candidates have received zero marks. There are other candidates who have not even got the passing mark. Based on the merit list, they are being interviewed for the recruitment of teachers.
Written examination was conducted on 11 and 12 November 2020 for contractual recruitment to 70 posts of three English medium schools started in Raipur, the result of which has been released. In Raipur, the committee formed for the operation of English medium schools, the Collector is the Chairman and the District Education Officer has been made the Secretary. RD Tiwari School Amapara, BP Pujari School Rajatalab and Shaheed Smarak School Fafadih in Raipur have been selected for Outstanding School. 1600 children are enrolled in them.
The School Education Department had invited applications for contractual appointment for 70 posts for three English medium schools, including teacher, clerk and peon. Of these, 12 posts belong to peons alone. The Department of Education has kept the minimum qualification of eighth pass for these posts, but for this, youths pursuing engineering and MBA degrees also applied.
Apart from this, candidates who have done MA, M.Com, M.Sc in post-graduation have also shown interest in the peon job. A total of 13 thousand applications were received for 70 posts. More than 500 applications have come for the posts of 12 peons alone. Half of these applications were from postgraduate (PG) ones.
