Quality of education will not be compromised in Kanpur, university team will test BEd colleges
The B.Ed colleges imparting teacher training will not be able to hide their shortcomings. These colleges will be systematically tested before the new semester. For this, a team has been formed under the chairmanship of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav. In this team, DM’s nominee ACM-6PN Singh and Higher Education Officer Dr. Ripudaman Singh have been included.
Infrastructure of BEd colleges, number of students, duration of its accreditation, seats, number of teachers and past years performance of the college will be seen. Apart from this, their test results will also be assessed. The test results of the last five years can be seen during the test. About 300 B.Ed colleges are affiliated with the university. These colleges will be tested before the session of 2021-22 while the Higher Education Department will submit its report within a month. Based on this report, colleges will be allowed to take admission in the new semester. The colleges where deficiencies will be found will be given a chance to improve.
This report will be submitted to the inspection team governance by 10 March. If these colleges are unable to complete the forms related to recognition within the given time interval, then they can be prevented from admission. However, the final decision will be taken by the Higher Education Department.
Testing will be done to improve quality
CSJMU Registrar and President of the testing team, Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav said that the outline of this test has been prepared to improve the educational quality of B.Ed colleges. This inspection will be done at five points. There will be many more points which will be tested by the team.
These points will be tested
- Recognition of institutions, recognition of courses, approved seats, fixed fees
- Educational qualification as per standard of teachers, their approval
- Number of classes in proportion to student number
- The test on the ground on which the college is running
- Whether the correct facts are recognized
