Rajasthan: Private schools announced indefinite strike, requested the government

After Covid-19, where preparations are being made to open schools in many states, private schools in Rajasthan have said to go on strike. This includes CBSE, Rajasthan Board and Missionary Schools .. all.

The Forum of Private Schools in Rajasthan has said that from 5 November 2020 all private schools in the state will go on an indefinite strike. The reason for this is a new directive issued by the state government regarding school fees.

In a press conference, the forum said that for the last seven months, there has been tension between schools and parents regarding fees. But now this matter has become serious. Private schools are struggling with a serious economic problem. The situation is such that the schools are on the verge of closure. Due to lack of funds, the schools are now unable to pay the operating expenses and salary of their employees.

This demand from the government
The Private Schools Forum has requested Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to join him in this difficult time. Implement the instructions given by the Rajasthan High Court on 9 September 2020, so that the parents are clear about depositing fees before Diwali. Otherwise the government should give relief fund to the schools.

On September 9, the Rajasthan High Court directed schools to charge tuition fees of up to 70 per cent. But recently the Rajasthan government has also issued a directive to cut fees by 30 to 40 percent due to the reduction of syllabus in all private and government schools.
