Sanskrit education crisis due to shortage of teachers

Due to shortage of teachers, the crisis on Sanskrit education is increasing in the district. There are 21 aided Sanskrit schools under the control of the Department of Secondary Education, which is struggling with a shortage of teachers. There are only 63 teachers in 21 schools. Due to this, studies are not being done properly and people are being disturbed by Sanskrit education. Teachers for Sanskrit schools have not been appointed for many years.

The shortage of teachers in 21 Sanskrit schools from class 6 to 12 does not seem to be going away. The recruitment process is still stalled by the Department of Secondary Education. It is being told that on 28 March 2018, after the amendment in Uttar Pradesh Secondary Sanskrit Education Council Regulations 2009, the government gave the right to the selection board of teachers in aided Sanskrit schools.

After this, there was hope that soon new teachers would be found. To keep the school operating in the district, only about 42 teachers are needed immediately. Due to non-availability of teachers, studies in schools have become disorganized.

There were also several attempts to promote Sanskrit education. Last year seminars were organized by Sanskrit Sansthanam in DIET. More than 200 primary teachers were also trained in this, but this campaign could not continue further. It is believed that due to shortage of teachers, efforts to promote education are not coming on the ground.
