There has been a steady increase in cases of corona virus epidemic across the country. In recent times there has been a rapid increase in infections in many states. The rising cases of Corona have once again led to the closure of all educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities in many states. 

Recently in several states including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Puducherry, governments have again tightened up and closed schools and colleges to curb new cases of corona infection. Like many important steps have been taken. Similar situations are also there in the union territories.

 Here too, instructions have been given to keep schools and colleges closed by the local administration. Let us tell you that in most states and union territories, educational institutions started opening in the month of February, but now have to be closed again. While in many states the examinations for school and board classes were canceled. Let’s know in which state, what and how long it will be closed .

Seeing the rising outbreak of Corona infection in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to close all government, aided and private schools up to class eight in the state till April 11. There will be no education in these schools during this period, but teachers will continue to come to school for administrative work. On Sunday, while reviewing the unlocked system at his government residence, the Chief Minister immediately provided the status report of the restoration of Kovid hospitals across the state and L Instructed to increase the number of Kovid Hospitals -2 and L-3.

Amid increasing cases of corona infection, the Delhi government has asked all schools not to call students of any class in the new session until further orders. The Directorate of Education issued a notice on Thursday and said that studies should be made online for the academic session 2021-22. According to the order, only students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade of academic session 2020-21 will be able to come to school for guidance. With the approval of their parents, these students will be able to come to school for examinations, practicals, project work and internal assessment work. No students up to 8th grade will be called to school under any circumstances.

In Himachal Pradesh, the state’s schools and all other educational institutions will remain closed till April 15 in view of Kovid patients growing by the second wave of Corona. The Chief Minister said this during his visit to Kullu on Thursday in Dhalpur. He said that earlier the schools were closed till April 4, but the government has now decided to close schools, colleges and all other educational institutions due to the increase in Corona cases. However, there will be no restriction on the development work and the movement of tourists in the state.

The order issued by the Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department, Sanjay Goyal, said that according to the decision taken in the review meeting of the department on December 4, 2020, the schools from the first to the 8th were closed till March 31, 2021. Which has been reduced to 15 April 2021 in view of the ever increasing infectious cases. At the same time, classes 9th to 12th will start from April 01. However, parental permission will be required for the offline class.

The Punjab government has decided to keep schools and colleges closed till April 10 in view of the increasing Corona cases.  The restrictions that were in place till March 31 have been extended by 10 days.  Officials say that by the middle of May, new cases are expected to decline in the state.  In such a situation, CM Amarinder Singh has ordered to increase the corona examination and vaccination.  Punjab is currently included in the list of top 6 states with the second fastest wave of corona virus.
In view of the growing threat of Corona, a decision has been taken to close schools located in eight municipal areas of the state till 10 April.  These include Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and the state capital Gandhinagar.  However, schools for classes 9 and 11 have reopened in February with limited staff members and corona virus precautions.  Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama had said that school staff and students wear masks, maintain physical distance and thermal checking is mandatory to record the temperature. 

Karnataka’s Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said that keeping in view the increasing cases of corona in the Bengaluru urban district, all classes from class 6 to 9 are closed till further orders. Please state that classes 1 to 5 are already closed. 

Significantly, in the last year i.e. in March 2020, under the nationwide lockdown announced due to Kovid-19 in all states, physical classrooms and educational institutions were closed.
