Sisodia challenges UP-Uttarakhand ministers on education policy, BJP reverses

The Delhi Pradesh BJP has raised questions on the matter of challenging Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on the schools and education model of Delhi and the ministers of UP and Uttarakhand. Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana has called the Delhi government’s claim completely wrong. Along with this, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi have also been challenged for the debate.

On behalf of Delhi BJP, it has been said that when Kejriwal government came to power, there were 1024 government schools and 6 were being built, that is, there were 1030 in total and today there are only 1030. That is, in 6 years no new school was built. Delhi BJP has made this claim by quoting RTI.

Delhi BJP claims that there are 66,578 teacher posts in government schools in Delhi whereas only 57,556 teachers are employed. At the same time, in 1030 government schools, about 300 (about 30%) schools teach science in 11th and 12th.

Questioning the condition of Delhi’s schools, Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said that if 5 government schools are left out, then tell the situation of the rest of the schools. Apart from those 5 schools, why were the schools of excellence not built?

Likewise, when Kejriwal came to power in the 10th result of Delhi, 98.81% of the children passed, whereas last year only 82.61% of the children have passed, that is, there is a 17% fall in the 10th result . The condition is that Delhi is at number 15 in the case of 10th result in 16 zones. At the same time, 45% of the children are failing in the 9th result and some of the same is also the result of the 11th.

Delhi BJP also questioned the education budget of Delhi government and said that in the year 2015-16, there was a total budget of 10,842 crore, out of which 2,670 crore was not spent. While in the year 2016-17, the education budget was kept at 10,690, out of that, they could not spend crores of rupees.

Similarly, in the year 2017-18, the education budget was 11914 crore and 1,638 crore was not spent. After which, in the year 2018-19, the education budget of 14754 was kept out of which 4,896 crore was not spent. Talking about last year, the education budget was kept at 15,750 crores there and out of that 2,839 crores was not spent. Accordingly, in 5 years, more than 13,000 crore was not spent.

On the basis of these figures, the Delhi BJP is now challenging the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi to argue with the leaders of Delhi BJP on this condition of Delhi’s education system before going to Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Delhi BJP alleges that the fact that the Delhi government is making big claims about the education system of Delhi is different than that and the Delhi government is trying to mislead the people of Delhi by showing only a picture of some schools.
