Eligibility: Degree, Diploma
Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Staff Nurse should have Degree/Diploma in Nursing of not less than 3 years duration approved by the Nursing council of India/any state Nursing council.
Age Limit: The age of the candidates applying for the post of Staff Nurse should not less than 21 years and should not more than 30 years as on 31st July 2015.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for the specified categories:
i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST Category
ii) By 4 years for candidates belonging to OBC Category
iii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to BL Category
iv) By 5 years for candidates belonging to PT Category
Application Fee: Candidates applying for the post of Staff Nurse are required to pay application fee Rs 150/- in Bank receipt of State Bank of Sikkim credited by “0051 – SPSC
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 – 34800/ Per Month

The Sikkim Public Service Commission: The Sikkim Public Service Commission started functioning from 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman and deputation of the staff from the State Government. Since then, the Sikkim Public Service Commission has been entrusted with the work of conducting Union Public Service Commission examinations.
Sikkim is a small state in northwest India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal, Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape including India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kanchenjunga. Sikkim was founded on May 15, 1975. Gangtok is the Capital of the state. Total population of the state is 619.000 as per census of 2012. The sex ratio is 889 females per 1,000 males, with a total of 321,661 males and 286,027 females as per census of 2011. The state has five seasons: winter, summer, spring, autumn, and a monsoon season between June and September. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, which dates to the early 1700s. Temperature of the state seldom exceeds 28 °C (82 °F) in summer and the average annual temperature for most of Sikkim is around 18 °C (64 °F). Sikkim is one of the few states in India to receive regular snowfall. Sikkim’s nominal state gross domestic product (GDP) was estimated at US$1.57 billion in 2014, constituting the third-smallest GDP among India’s 28 states. States largely economy is based on Farming of Rice and cultivation of crops. Nepali is the official language of the state and in most of the areas Hindi, English is also spoken.
